repeat of post:
Wasalam u aliekum wr wb! @Salmanja,
May Allah(SwT) enrich your life with happiness instead of anger, may he cool the boiling blood that runs through thy veins, so thy fever is replaced by good health, may he bring peace to your soul, so you may use the gifts of knowledge, to bridge the gaps that divide us, may he bless upon you an inner peace and confidence, that bud-duwas (Ill wishes) may be replaced with duwas (good wishes) for those you disagree with. May he shower more wisdom, tolerance, and understanding upon you so you could make a difference with your actions, your writings, and your words. May he sleeve your sword so that you by mistake don't harm an innocent. (Amen).
“With link to my other thread in which racism matter is discussed and the "Conclusion" derived by Mr JIG in this thread I just want to congratulate mr JIG for having a new Black president.”@Salmanja
Americans prove race was not a issue in this election.
I would write the above line based on facts, data, and analysis, derived by the exit polls form a wide cross section of American voters interviewed as they exited the polls after voting. It is a cumulating of information from multiple sources, conducting these exit polls, processed carefully without trusting one source, rather many. According to my most honest conclusion which only I have derived from the information available, that the majority of Americans, when asked if race was a factor in their decision, replied that it was not. ( On this point they deserve my appreciation, and nothing more than a duwa (good wishes) that have crept out from my heart and soul that may Allah(SwT) bless them with more happiness and joy) As this action is something I believe in and would bring me an extreme joy that I am most pleased to share with them.) To understand my views one must also take in to consideration, some of my basic beliefs, as I in the majority attempt to look at the glass half full rather than the glass half empty. I cannot escape the human urge to also look at the glass half empty, which I try to avoid as much as possible. All I have written in this form, are views, conclusions, points analysis based on information processed through my brain. I will not claim they are accurate, set in stone, or inaccurate. There may be commonalities and disagreements with my processed information derived from personal experiences and information available. Those who are willing to look deeper on this topic can do their own reseach.
I just want to congratulate mr JIG for having a new Black president.
I will most certainly take your congratulations, and pass them on to the American people, including my American Muslim family, that include my lovely American wife, my 3 American children, my lovely American 63 year old mentally disabled proud Christian lady who has lived with us as a family member for over 13 years. Her beliefs are respected and protected by my family. On my part I can only thank you, but really, I am not allowed to vote because I hold the citizenship of my Country where I was born, Pakistan. Since I did not I ask any of my American friends, family or acquaintances in America to vote for the respected President Elect, I cannot accept your congratulations on that base, but will gladly accept it on the basis that may Allah(SwT) (God) make him an instrument of his will so that mankind not waist its few precious moments of living in idle debate that has no end in the search for peace for all. I invite you to look through a prism or a ruler that has markings that no nation or tribe is without fault, no nation is without racism, no nation is without evil, no nation is without injustice, no nation is without poor, no nation is without evil, no nation is without the hungry, no nation is without greed, no nation is without hate and so on. The degree or measurement only varies. Will you make such a wonderful nation that will have none of the above? Please do let me know when that nation is ready I will pass in my beloved citizenship of Pakistan for that. If I can’t afford even a degree of common courtesy to the kindness of the American people, its laws in allowing me the ability to speak my mind, practice any religion I choose, marry amongst them, live amongst them with freedom to move to anywhere I want to go then I would consider myself a thankless person. I am very sorry that some Muslims here may have not had the same experience I have had, but one thing I will say personal action play an important part in how you are treated. Respect is not demanded it is earned. Wishing people ill only makes them hate you more than you hate them. That is not what I understand the character of a Allah (Swt) (God) fearing human to be.
I apologize if I have offended you or have raised the already boiling blood. The other questions you have asked about Malcolm X and so on, know this I am a very keen observer and am fully aware of good around me as well as the not so good. We can all easily build a case against any nation or people collectively yet it becomes much harder individually. Leaders have throughout our history raised the level of fear in their people by taking actions of the individual evil ones amongst their enemy and aiming it towards an entire people or nation. That is a time old tradition of incitement of their people towards war with a punishment towards an entire people or nation. If you would like to pick and choose, a mountain of ills can easily be found from nations spreading from east to west and from north to south of this world. It would also include ills past, present and future, some will be able to build new pyramids of what mankind still has in store for humanity as far as evil is concerned by one nation or another, or by one people or another. I pray we all learn from the past and try to get along.
What we can do is try to understand our history, not to participate in hate towards another human being while still believing in our faith practicing it then leading by example(I count myself as someone who falls short on all accounts, but working towards it and sharing what I am experiencing, so you will be short changed to find an expert in me.) The human mind is the most curious mind on this planet. Islam by example is in itself is an invitation or Dawa for the curious mind it does not require force, based on the tolerance demonstrated in terms of protecting the beliefs of the minorities in Islam. I would have to say “Fear not the religions of the world if your own belief is as solid as you believe it to be. This formula is so simple it can be applied to all beliefs alien to yours. Give mankind an equal opportunity to search all.
In the end I would have thought that with such outrage expressed at the misstreatment of fellow Muslims eqaul praise to those who have treated one of you with respect would have been extended a thank you, I would call that fair.
